We had a very rewarding and fun Show in Texas on the 3rd and 4th of May.  Of course it was so nice to see all of our 2 legged and 4 legged friends.

This May show was the normal Texas show as well as the Top 10 Nationals for the year.  My boyfriend Richy and I took 4 dogs, all in the top 10.  White Rock's Mighty Tyson, El Dorado's Billie Jean, Braveheart's Sargent Pepper, and WATCH's Annie Oakley...

The show started on Saturday for us with Obedience.  Pepper and Billie were in the TX show as well as in the Top 10.  In the Texas part of the Show Pepper won 1st place with her mom Billie Jean placing 3rd.  They both did a very good job.  Billie and Pepper have completed everything that they need to complete level one obedience and will move up to level two the next show season.. In the Top Ten Billie Jean ended up 3rd in the Nationals..

Conformation was next and Billie Jean was entered in the Hip Certified Female class..  El Dorado's Billie Jean placed First in her class and then went on to win BEST IN SHOW FEMALE.. This was very exciting and now Billie just needs one more point to join her daughter Pepper as a Conformation Champion!!

We Had a unsuccessful Treeing Trial this time, but enjoyed ourselves just the same and the dogs had fun too.

On Sunday we had a very busy day.  It started with our National Top Ten Cattle Trials.. I ran in the 11th spot for California.  I was very nervous as always and excited to be in the top ten with so many folks who have been doing this since NALC has started.  My run went very well.  My team consisted of Billie Jean, Pepper and Annie.  Billie Jean was the star again and worked her heart out.. All the dogs where there when I needed them and called out every time they were asked.. We ended up placing 4th in the Nation and I could not have been happier!!

Our B-bay runs were good, but not as great as they have been.  Pepper and Annie were having an off weekend, but that is ok we all have those and they have been so wonderful in other shows it is quite ok for the off weekend..
Both Annie and Pepper placed 3rd in the 2 dog B-Bay and are both Champions in this event now...How can we complain about that..

Our A-bay events were quite exciting...Tyson had excellent runs both in the Single dog and the Two dog for the Texas Show.. He placed 3rd in the one dog A-bay and was the Reserve High Point Male for the day.  Billie Jean did so well for her first experience in A-bay.. She is such an athlete!!  She did not place in the one dog or the two dog but was the Reserve High Point Female for the Day.. Not bad for her first time out!!

My boy Tyson, who I could not be more proud of, just started his A-bay career in September in LA, his next show was in October in CA, and then in Mississippi in November, and finally the Texas show in May.. He made the Top Ten his first show season and in the Nationals in Texas place 2nd.  We were just thrilled as you can imagine.

Richy and I had a great show and time in Texas and can not wait till the next one.. We look forward to seeing our friends and watching our dogs do what they do best!

GREAT SHOW, WONDERFUL DOGS AND BEST OF ALL, GREAT FRIENDS!
